Of Brookline, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died on April 17, 2017 at age 63, after a long and brave struggle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. Beloved life partner of Deborah Wanzer and loving mother of Sam Kellman-Wanzer, both of Brookline. Devoted daughter of the late Gloria and Gustave Kellman. Dear childhood friend and “sister” of Naomi Vogel . Also survived by dear friends who provided ongoing love and support throughout her life and extended illness. Marla, a Clinical Social Worker, was honored to work with many children, families, and adults over the course of her lifelong career. Funeral service at the Dana Chapel, 350 Grove St., West Roxbury, Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in the Jewish Civil Service Cemetery. Marla’s family will receive visitors in their home on Saturday 5-8 pm and Sunday 3-7 pm.
